Papua New Guinea - Amuliba Tsekaka

from 6.00

This coffee gets its name from the Tsekaka language used by the tribe that owns the Amuliba plantation where this lot is produced. The original Amuliba plantation was cultivated in the mid-1950’s by an Australian expatriate farmer and was acquired by the Tsekaka clan in 1978. The farm functions not only as a traditional coffee plantation, but also as a central processing point for other regional producers. The Tsekaka group started buying cherry from nearby producers in addition to producing their own in the 1990’s and continues to do so today.
