Papua New Guinea - Kunjin A

from 5.00

White Pine Coffee is pleased to offer our first coffee from Papua New Guinea.  PNG is an ideal growing environment with specialty genetic varieties in cultivation.  This origin is still relatively young and you can expect the best offerings are yet to come as the infrastructure improves over the coming years.

Commercial coffee production started in Papua New Guinea in the 1920s, with seeds brought from Jamaica's Blue Mountain, a Typica variety.

Kunjin is a centralized plantation mill in the Waghi Valley in Western Highlands that gets its coffee from smallholders between 4,500–5,800ft, in close proximity to the town of Mount Hagen.
